I prefer a reg guillotine cut but have found my self using punch cuts on smaller cigars lately and v cuts about 20% of the time. I guess it depends on my mood.

Pretty much punch everything, unless its a torpedo or small ring gauge. Torpedo's get double guillotine and smaller ring gauges get a V-Cut

Just got used to a particular thin single blade guillotine and it seems to give me the most control of the depth of my cut.

I use an Xkar rosewood I won a gift and spent it on the $70 one. always used the free plastic Xkars I got as freebies while buying other stuff.

Anyway I use it almost exclusively just below the cap at a slight angle. don't ask me why it's just what I stared doing and it works for me.

got me this great diesel double blade guillotine for 16 bux love it i was and still do use a punch right often but i find i need a little bigger punch the bullet punch works good on smaller ring gauges but i like 50-60 most time would be nice to have a bigger punch might look into the bullet shell one nice idea

I use a double blade guillotine cutter, however I think the most efficient and effective cutter is actually the punch cutter. Only problem is its usually such a small punch it can make the draw a bit tight. I'd love to find around a 38 RG punch cutter. Only problem is you cant use on figurado's, however I think parajo's account for roughly 95% of the cigars.

Punch cutters are very effortless, perfect cut every time, doesn't snip the filler.

Currently using a Palio.....however this thing is maybe 2 wks old and both blades are dented and jagged, which is ripping the end of my cigar rather that cutting. I have contacted the vendor and a new one is on the way, but wonder if this is common? Seems the blades were made of very soft metal to me.
