Ran nine and a half miles last night. Stepped in a hole with about a mile left and rolled my ankle. I think I'll do my scheduled 4 tonight on the elliptical rather than the road to give the old bones and joints a day to rest.

I'm off-cycle on the supplements right now and focused exclusively on running. At least until I do a half-marathon next month. So for right now I'm only taking vitamins and trying to eat well.

After that, I'm in the gym for nine weeks before I have to start training for my full marathon (thankfully, there is still some gym time in that, it's driving me nuts doing pure, steady state cardio right now). When I get back in there, I'll be taking jack3d for a pre-workout, two protein shakes a day, and getting my creatine from CR5. That's about it though, I'm not a huge supplements guy.

Marathon, nice man. I hate running. Jack3d is awesome. I love that stuff. Right now I am taking C4, which is almost like jack3d. Also a protein shake. Thats about it for me too. You take extra creatine too? I thought jack3d had some in it.

I hate running.
You and me both, which is why I make myself do it. It's not hard for me to convince myself to throw some weight around. It is absolutely an internal fight for me to walk out my front door and start trotting.

Right now, I have every single workout planned for every single day between now and October 28th, which is the Marine Corps Marathon. After that, I'll probably do a bulk cycle for a bit and then... I'm going to start triathalon training. I've given myself two years to do an iron man.

After that, I might just die. :)

I'm also going to do the Bataan Memorial Death March next year with an old Army buddy and our wives. It's a 26.2 mile ruck march through the mountains near El Paso. Given that I don't have to wear boots, won't be carrying a weapon, and only have to schlep 35 pounds instead of my old basic load, it is going to be my vacation. Meanwhile, to keep things interesting, we're doing obstacle courses. I've got the Super Spartan in August, and the Tough Mudder in September. Just did the mid-Atlantic Primal Mud run last weekend. So much fun.

Finished P90X2 a few weeks ago and started Insanity because my wife wanted to try it so I'm trying to back her up. Pretty intense cardio workouts.

Also took up running slowly. Using the C25K app to get my endurance up. My issue has historically been shin pain but we will see if building up gradually helps.

post (and i quote) "Biceps"!:hysterica

I did Chest, Back, and a little bit of Shoulder work yesterday.
Warmup was 15mins on Treadmill, and 15mins on Elliptical.

Haven't gone to the gym yet today, but I will do Shoulders,
Biceps, and Triceps.
