Became too much work after a while and you have to update it. If you smoke one or two a week, it's not that big a deal but if you're smoking more than that or more than one or two a day at times, it gets to be hectic.

I don't keep track. I know me and I wouldn't update the info every time I smoked a cigar. Before long the list is fuster clucked and it would take forever to fix it. I guess I have a Honey Badger attitude on some things. It just doesn't seem like an important or beneficial thing to bolster my enjoyment of the hobby.

Yes. I use an app called Social Humidor to keep track of purchases and when smoked. Seems to have most cigars already in the db, so entry is a snap.

I download this one and the My Cigar Humidor. Playing with them both, but liking how basic the Humidor app. Definitely a simple inventory app, just with there was an export option on them. Still need to play with that social humidor some more...

Nope Can't keep track of what I smoke. And I certainly don't want to total what this hobby cost me. I smoke em, try to to remember the good ones, and move onto the next.
My cigars and me .... how do they say? .... are like and two passing ships in the night. ...

I have a crappy old label maker that I use to make a label with who gave it to me or where I bought it and the date. It goes right on the cello, or if no cello then I can cut it down pretty thin to stick on the back of the band. No other recording - I knew if I went down that road it would get out of hand and I would be researching the family life of the guy who rolled it.

I keep an XL doc of my humidor so I know what I have to avoid over purchasing. I keep short notes in evernote, but I have one category called "to avoid". After smoking some sticks a second time that disappointed, decided I didn't want to waste money like that again. No more Miro cigars for me :)

I take a picture of 95% of what I smoke, purchase, and get bombed. But that is as far as it goes.

I used to keep inventory on a spreadsheet, but then my collection got to the point where keeping up with it became a nuisance.
Same here. Became more of a chore after a while.

I don't have the huge collections that some guys have. I just mark on a digital calendar when something arrived and was put in the humidor, & when they'll have enough rest time to be ready to smoke.

I do not keep a journal. For a good while now I've simply stocked the same 5 or 6 vitolas that I've enjoyed for years, so no need. I do occasionally order a 3-pack or a fiver of something different or special and I'll photograph them upon their arrival, but that's about it. For instance on my latest order I got a 3-pack of Esplendidos besides my normal sticks. I'm not apt to forget I have those.:hungry:
