I though it prudent to test the cooling unit before moving forward, so I hooked it up to a 12v battery.
I could feel cool air blowing almost immediately, but I let it run a bit to ramp up to its full potential. These are temps taken off the cool/hot side heatsinks after 15 minutes.
The hot side gets warm for sure, but nowhere near enough to burn the skin. I grabbed and held onto it for a minute just to confirm.
Condensation did form on the cold heatsink. Nothing too extreme, and not enough to start dripping off. It was like the fine misting you get on your fridge walls and shelves if you keep the door open for a minute. I imagine it would continue to accumulate the longer it runs. I’ve got an idea on how to manage it.
