If its darker under the band, then we're talkign sun exposure discoloration. Seen that before. Up to these sifferent shades between a top-row stick and the underneat stick.
That takes quite some time or some very direct sunlight. The band says January I doubt it suffers from sun exposure.

It almost looks like lighter one was rolled with an entirely different leaf. It's way too light to be Oscuro.

So I got a box of El Oso Papa today and as I was putting it away I through they were darker than normal. I dug out my last one form a previous purchase and sure enough... the new ones are dark compared to the last ones.
Any thoughts? Anyone have info on a change?

Don't mind the cracked foot. Its a hazard from shipping.
Lit on up a bit ago and smoking similar to the lighter wrapper. Didn't Habe quit the same start but this is the one that had the cracked foot (which was worse that the pic showed) so some wrapper came off. Not disappointed at all.

Direct from Warped: "Hmm that's a big shade variant. The blend was never changed...I wanna track down the time it was sent and see why that happened"

So, obviously a larger shade variant than what Warped considers acceptable.
That's exactly what I would have expected to hear. Let us know how it turns out! The lighter one looks exactly like the Unicos. The darker one looks more like El Oso.
