I went there last fall. My girlfriend and I stayed at the bourbon manor, nice little place they have there. We toured buffalo trace, four roses, heaven hill, Willet and Barton 1792. We checked out wild turkey too. I think that buffalo trace, heaven hill and Willet are the best looking places (they are also more along my favorites distillers). They also have more of the gift shop only exclusives (Willet family estate bourbon is impossible to get outside the gift shop without paying crazy prices). That being said, I'd gladly work out a trade if you don't like them and wanna pick up a bottle for a fellow bourbon lover

otherwise four roses can have some good finds, I personally love their private barrels. I also suggest heaven hill, do their upper end tasting, it doesn't include a tour but you get to sample some of their stuff before you buy any (I got to sample larceny, which I don't seem to like, their select stock which I bought, bottled in bond which I bough, and the EC 23, which was really good just expensive so I didn't grab it), it's awesome! Also look for heaven hill 6 year bottled in bond. It's more of a KY exclusive, wish I would have know when I was there. I didn't hunt a lot of stores just distillery tours.
For eating, there are some decent places, Harrison smith house is awesome (more expensive/upper end), but very good. They also have a good selection of poors, not the cheapest though. Otherwise we ate at a few other places, nothing bad but nothing that stands out for being awesome.
We did have some good pizza in Louisville at a bar, some
Neat places there. That's all I can think of off the top of my head right now, hope that helps!
