Homebrewers - Who is up for a BOTL brew?

The crazy high SRM doesn't surprise anyone? It's well above and beyond the range they like. Or, is that just the color it is?

I'm happy if it is, I could care less about their range, I just want to know if I am missing something.

Looks about right. Brewtarget said 50.7 SRM for my version.

The original recipe is 50.5.

5G normal, 3G with bourbon soaked oak spirals and 3G with PB2/cocoa nibs. Should be interesting to see what everyone prefers.

A few n00b brewing bumps yesterday. Melted one of the loops of my brew bag (doh!) and had to remove about 3 or 4 cups of the mash to get the lid on.
I didn't hit the OG but the wort smelled and tasted amazing. Fermenting like a beast right now.

I have 5G of this sitting on buffalo trace oak cubes and 4 split vanilla beans. Been that way for 9 months now. I am chomping at the bit to get back to the US and have a taste.

Might have to through up a raffle of sorts for a couple bottles haha
