Being a new Dad, I can totally relate to what you are saying here.This, frankly, is the priority consideration for me and my smoking habits. I will only smoke when it does not negatively affect my marriage and family life. I do not want my kids to miss time with their daddy, or my wife to feel lonely because I want a cigar.
I also don't want my kids to see me smoking constantly. Like with alcohol, I want them to see responsible use of such things modeled for them, so that they know to enjoy all things in moderation and to take responsibility for their own actions and never blame the substance.
If Isla is awake and hanging out, I'm staying in with her and my wife. Shoot, if she's sleeping, I'm usually home as well. The b&m, my cigars and friends can wait and will be there after my family time.
The time with my family cannot be replaced!
In regards to the question at hand though OP, use your best judgement on how many cigars are too many. Your body will tell you. That's my rule.
