No, putting batteries in something like that reminds me too much of a vibrator.
Thats exactly what that thing is. It does absolutely nothing, but vibrate while you shave. I cut my self 4 times in one shave, that thing wen out the window so fast it broke the mach speed. :hammersma :riflefire

despite the general "this has gone too far" discussion, here's my review.

The Fusion is the best razor I have used. I had a Mach 3 Power, and I could tell a VERY noticeable difference with the Fusion. I don't know if it's the improved gliding blades, or the additional 2 blades, but all I know is that the thing really works better.

The 6th trimmer blade on the top/back is really nice. I thought it was dumb, until I found out how esy it was to use it under the nostrils. You can get these pretty cheap with the sale price/rebates.

Plus, my wife gets 20% off anything at CVS, which helps me out too.

Seriously though, I bought it, just to see if it would be any better and it definitely exceeded my expectations.

to be clear though, this razor war may have gone too far. at some point, they'll have to stop. diminishing returns will kick in at some point and additional improvements will be impossible.

also, I'm pretty sure making the razor vibrate is worthless. they used to advertise that it made the beard stand up, but they've sinced changed the ads. I'd heard that this was resultant of litigation by Shick or something, which showed that Gillette was lying about the functionality of vibration in their razors.

funny about the sex toys comment above though. I've thought the same thing. Of course (maybe den of inequity comment here) that you could buy one for v-day, and then use it on your gal two different ways!

I want to try one of these but the damn refills cost WAY to much, I can get like three shaves out of blade then I have to toss it.

the refills come out to 1-2 dollars more that the Mach 3 turbo 9or whatever they're called).

Do you really burn a cartridge in 3 shaves? That's some serious scruff.

I've actually noticed that the indicator strip (which I don't go buy. I think it's a ploy) on the Fusion is lasting longer than the mach 3 Turbo Power Hemi v-8 supercharged, Mopar, Roush racing razor I had before.

If it wasn’t for women buying their boyfriend/husband/father/brother/son the latest razor every year for Christmas we’d probably all still be using straight razors.

Also... how is it that the best shave I ever had was from a straight razor? It's only one f-ing blade.

Not sure. However, I'd compare a disposable with onle one balde to multi blades and i'd bet the single wouldn;t work.

A straight razor, which i LOVE is a different mechanism. they go really slow with those too, so you don't die.

I use an old-fashioned Merkur Double Edged single blade safety razor. It's the best shave I've ever gotten and doesn't irritate my skin like those 3, 4, 5, and 6??? blade jobs. The razor itself is pretty expensive, but the razor blades are really cheap.
