i'm guessing that in this case, underrated means not mentioned in the same breath as cohiba, monte, r&j, etc. it's not a big name that you typically hear guys say "i'm gonna buy a couple of boxes of jl's!". maybe underrated is the wrong word?
Well put ... +1!

I love the #1!!! We just had this conversation at the B&M today. Most guys here have never tried it, but I happen to prefer it over the #2. I can't say that I've had tons of either, but #1 is my preference.

same here..#1 is ok but the #2 is where it is at. I have a box of 08 #2's and they have a very unique flavor to them..best way to describe it is red wine with fruit..sangria!
Exactly the profile I was thinking and I love it. Thats all Im saying as my last post seemed to generate some hostility. Dont want any of that.

Sounds like I'm in the minority on this one...... but I think it's rated right where it belongs. The #2 is a decent stick, for sure... but absolutely nothing that ever knocks my socks off, even with some good age/refinement. For the price, okay... they're good...... but I haven't heard anyone say anything to the contrary to make me think they're underrated at all. They're decent... not great... but they're cheap, ehich brings them up to "good," I guess.

Cheers!

Michael-

I am with Jim on this one. This is a decent stick, but not something that exceeds expectation.

Cheers
