Lost My Dog Today

It's tough to lose something that just loves you unconditionally. Sorry to hear you lost your dog Chuck.

they are beloved family members. i'm sorry for your loss.
Sorry to hear this Chuck. RIP. Remember the good times you had with him. I know I will be hurting big time when my dog dies.

Losing the family pet leaves an incredibly large hole in your heart. When we lost our Yellow Lab - Ivory - after 14 years as well, it was as bad as I've ever hurt over anything. You have my deepest sympathy.
I will offer this however. As always - life goes on and the ache eventually subsides. After a few months I brought up the idea to the family of getting another dog. Everybody else (wife and three children) were unanimous in saying NO. Well - we went on with our 4 cats for almost 4 years before I was able to convince the wife to get another dog. We brought another Lab pup into our home 3 years ago this month. It immediately became clear that our new lab - Sydney - filled a hole that had never really healed from the loss of Ivory. So my advise - don't wait too long before you think about getting another dog. Tyler was a loyal friend and companion that lived every moment to please his master. If Tyler had anything to say about it - I'm sure Tyler would want to see you with another companion.
