Thanks all. We had pizza tonight. Had to cut her off at 6 pieces though. She's gonna eat like the Queen she is for what time she has left.

I really appreciate the thoughts all.

Here's my girl getting a bone Bill sent her for Xmas.

I just went through it 6 months ago, Im not going to lie it sucks, the second i saw my dog in pain i brought him and put him down. The ride to the vet sucks and the ride home is even worse. Not trying to tell you what to do but i would keep your wife at home and go do it, because its worst to watch him in pain.Sorry about the news best of luck.

that's sucks bro. I have been there with my best dog. He got intestinal cancer and had to be put down. HE was my drinking buddy and could fetch a beer for ya.
Sadly he was just over 3 years old. I still miss him a lot.

I grew up with cats, dogs birds, et al all of my life.
As an adult, I have had to put down 2 beautiful, wonderful dogs. I won't lie, it's very hard. But you are truly helping your dog to be comfortable and at peace.

If you can remember that it helps a bit.

Hope that helps, and very sorry to hear about your news, brother.

Scott, sorry to hear about your dog my friend.

I'm going through pretty much the same thing, Puddin', she's 16 1/2 (8-10 yrs average), has arthritis in the front leg and both her hips are in bad shape.

And some people can't understand how you become attached to a pet, it's real easy when they are a good dog!

My prayers are with you and your family my friend.

Scott, so sorry to hear about your dog. Enjoy all the time can with her. I'm sure we've all lost pets that have been very close to us at some point....it's never easy.
