I feel for you, brother. I remember whe I had to put down my dog I grew up with, it was one of the toughest things I've ever had to do. You'll get through it, though. Just remember all the fun you had together.

Sorry to hear, hendy. I can't even imagine the emotions you're feeling right now. I'm sure your dog has enjoyed every moment being by you and your family's side.

I'm sorry to here about that brother. Dogs are really mans best friend and the loss can be just as tramatic as loosing a human member of the family. I feel really bad for you but want you to know we are here for you as well. I have A baby girl Lab and would be outta my mind if something was to happen to her, so I can only imagine the pain you are feeling right now.

Scott - So sorry to hear that. We've lost 4 of them and it never gets any easier. We just give them the best that we can for as long as we can.

Man that is bad news. Had to take my dog for an ultrasound today to see if she had cancer. Luckily it turned out only to be liver disease. Those who never owned a pet can never understand how they truly are family members.

I know it’s a cliché, but I do know how you fill. My wife and I had a dog we called Rufus, he wasn’t just another dog he was a friend, family member, guardian, and a real part of us. We had Rufus in our lives from the time he was only 4 weeks old to 17 years, man I loved that dog, and I know he loved me and my wife. I have had hundreds of dogs in my life and they were all fine digs but Rufus was that one in a lifetime. He developed inoperable cancer, key word inoperable. We had to put him down, my God that hurt. That was twenty years ago, we had him cremated, his ashes are in our backyard, he will always be with us and in our memories. So yeas I know how you fill and I fill for you! The pain of losing Rufus is as real today as then, it has just eased off some now. My thoughts are with you Brother, and your family, I know it’s a real lose. I know we did the right thing for Rufus and I know you will do the right thing also.

Sorry about the pooch Scott, got two of my own. They're the only ones in the house that actually like me for who I am. No expectations from them, just unconditional love.

Sorry to hear it brother...I know what you're going through as I went through the same thing a few years ago. Just spend as much time as you can with your companion.

A situation all dog owners can empathize with right here. Sorry to hear this Scott. Beauty of a dog!
