I know it’s a cliché, but I do know how you fill. My wife and I had a dog we called Rufus, he wasn’t just another dog he was a friend, family member, guardian, and a real part of us. We had Rufus in our lives from the time he was only 4 weeks old to 17 years, man I loved that dog, and I know he loved me and my wife. I have had hundreds of dogs in my life and they were all fine digs but Rufus was that one in a lifetime. He developed inoperable cancer, key word inoperable. We had to put him down, my God that hurt. That was twenty years ago, we had him cremated, his ashes are in our backyard, he will always be with us and in our memories. So yeas I know how you fill and I fill for you! The pain of losing Rufus is as real today as then, it has just eased off some now. My thoughts are with you Brother, and your family, I know it’s a real lose. I know we did the right thing for Rufus and I know you will do the right thing also.
