I know the price was coming down as well. If this is the way they want to cut costs I am fine with it as long as the blend and tobaccos aren't affected.

Personally, I don't care what the band looks like.

I smoke the cigar, not the band. :dunno:

god awful.

And I know so-and-so said that the Patel distribution wouldn't change Pepin making the product, looking at that packaging, I'm calling BULLSHIT.
Eddie said on day 1 of the new partnership that the packaging would change, so I don't think there is cause for BS there.

Secondly, the labels HAD to change, because all the packaging is now being done by other people (i.e. another label-making company, one of Rocky's I"m sure). The design probably couldn't carry over, as the previous label maker owned it. These are some of the reasons why the cigars will cost less soon (and why everyone is blowing out the current EO Brand stuff nice and cheap ).

I also don't like the new design as much, but as long as the cigars don't change, I'm happy. I LOVE the Mi Barrio, Cubao, Murcielago, and all the 601s and am excited to be able to get them cheaper!

Sorry, but as much as Eddie can say the blend won't change, you have to be an idiot to think the cigar won't change after Rocky starts making them. Sure the blend can be the same regarding 60% Habano, 30% criollo or whatever the blends are, but if the tobacco is coming from Rocky's fields vs Pepins fields of course they will be different tasting. As of now, Pepin is still making them but only until their contract expires. After that, ba-bye good cigars... IMO.

Dude, Rocky is NOT making them! They will still be made by Pepin according to Eddie!

Yea, as long as the blend does not change, I will still buy the red. But the more I read here, I may have to start rationing what reds I have left.
