Well, one thing you need to do, is find out what people are smoking on different forums, and see if you can grab some single cigars (neptunecigars.com sells single cigars) that represent them, and see if your tastebuds are similar. You'll most likely not taste all the different things that are described, and I'm sure different flavors and scents will start to show up as you go along. That is unless you're an amazing taste tester. Afterall, cigars are meant to be enjoyed, and what better way than to enjoy some of the same cigars that people are talking about.

Welcome to the site from SoCal, i'm in Tacoma or Spokane at least once a year to visit the wife's family.
Smoke what you like and don't be afraid to try a few samplers, it's the only way your going to fine tune your pallet.
