Howdy All:

Is there a place that lists all the different regional editions? I am heading to Germany Sunday, it would be cool if they had some I could find.

Best regards, tony

I guess it's about time that we have a RE collectors group going ! I too got into the addiction of collecting them, well, at least the Middle Eastern ones

i've tried to collect the RE's. The chase (and of course smoking) is big part of the fun. I agree that while many are not much better than regular releases, some have been outstanding. Unfortunately, there are so many of them out there now that tracking them down is extremely difficult! It's definitely much easier to concentrate on a region.

I was just chatting with another BOTL about this yesterday, he picked up some Ramon Allones Asia Pacificos and they looked insanely good. I'd love to take up this 'niche' of our hobby as well but the last thing I need is something else related to cigars/rum to tap my wallet!

As you try them I'd love to see some review.
This year's Asia Pacific releases are the RA Celestial Fino & SLR Pacifico. Both, IMHO, excellent cigars. I also like the Punch Piramide D'Oro from the UK, Edmudo Dantes from Mexico, RA Phoenicios from Cypress & the original 05 RA Eminencias from Swiss.

Problem now is they are proposing more & more each year- some of which are never actually released. Had to keep track of & many from countries that don't ship to USA.

I have all but one up through last year, but kinda
stopped trying this year, just to much dough, andnot enough great smokes. A few
are great, but most average
at best so far... Plus they keep making them huge rg and short. I want long and skinny!!!

I hear you on that. That's why this year, the only RE I really want to get will be the Por Larranaga Encantos. It's going to be an Asia Pacific release, and will be a dalia sized cigar at 170mmx43. I can't wait for these to be released! It seems like they are cancelling all the skinny cigars. The Partagas Serie du Connoisseur line are some of my favorite smokes, and Habanos SA is cancelling the line this year.

Is there one for Mexico? There is a vid. on CA. that indicates this to be so - Edmundo Dantes, Conde 109.

I asked around this summer and had no luck, also not listed anywhere online???

Both ERDM Baltic Regionals (07&09) are great, with the newer one having lots of time to improve. And the Scandinavian Punch 09 is really nice too, even though still a bit fresh.
