1. Don't like sweet drinks either with my smoke but I do mainly drink Diet Coke with my cigars. Diet Coke isn't sweet like sugared soda so It fits the bill well with me. I will also drink 0 calorie vitamin water, coffee, and occasionally alcohol.
2. I actually love my cheap butane lighter. I've had many good ones and they've all had issues. There are more expensive lighters out there but for the small cost of these they are hard to beat and have never let me down.

You can get these at around $3 but here is a discription from Ebay

3. Can't help you much here as I smoke medium to full cigars but the Oliva line is very good for the money.

Another update: so while I'm waiting on my lighter, I also went ahead and purchased a Xikar X8. I plan to pick up an inexpensive punch too, but so far a straight cut is working great. I have a small Xikar travel humidor, but wanted to add something to keep out. What do you guys think of this

It's listed as a travel humidor, but how do you think it would work as a desktop humidor? Will it seal well enoght to keep cigars in there for a month or two?

Rather than startup several threads I thought i should put all my questions into one. So, here we go:

1) What do you drink with a cigar? I don't keep any alcohol at home. I'm also not into soda much, as I find it to sweet. I love coffee, but I know caffeine and nicotine don't mix well, and I usually prefer a cold drink. What do you prefer with your cigars?

2) Recommend a good butane lighter, preferably a triple torch style. I've really liked using the cheap ones to light up, but they never last.

3) What kind of cut do you prefer and why?

4) recommend some mild/medium cigars that I should not miss out on.

Thanks guys.
1) While I do enjoy scotch with a good cigar my second drink of choice actually is Coffee. I find that the complement each other well. ** I tend to smoke more maduro

2)The best triple torch lighter out there to me right now is the Xikar Trezo. All the burners are lined up in a row with the outer two angled inward just a little bit to give a more controlled precise burn.

3) Different cigars different style cuts. Normally I prefer a guillotine cut. But on a box press I like to punch them. I never really go for a "V" cut because I just don't like the way it feels.

4) While I'm not going to be much help in this category (I smoke mainly full bodied) The Gurkha Beauty is an amazingly smooth mild smoke though quite expensive. I also enjoy the C&C Corojo which is one of the best stick for the price IMO around 5$. There are so many great cigars out there its really everyone's own trial and error. I suggest going to your local B&M and asking for some help and try something you have never had. After all everyone is different and you don't know till you light it up.

Last post before I call it a night. I wanted to just clarify that people should recommend all cigars; mild, medium, and full bodied. I'll eventually try them, I just want to keep it simple to start out, I hope that helps me appreciate and pick up on more complex flavors and notes in every cigar. Oh, and where do you all recommend buying cigars online in singles?

What about non-alcoholic beers? I really like Buckler; or O'Douls Amber with a stronger blend

Single: Ronson and dealextreme ( http://dx.com/p/mini-windproof-butane-jet-torch-lighter-black-transparent-230936 ) Bought a dozen a year ago and love them.

3) What kind of cut do you prefer and why?

Straight. Xi2. Why? I prefer it to other cuts. I've tried punching and V's many times and always go back to straight.

4) recommend some mild/medium cigars that I should not miss out on.
