Lets just say I was very happy about the Ponders pick because then I knew the Lions had Fairley there to pick.

I liked our pick of OL Gabe Carimi. Da Bears (Cutler) really needed help on the line, and Carimi is a big boy.

I kind of like Fairley to Lions. Fairley/Suh combo is gonna be hard to stop.

edit: thanks for drafting Ponder MN, that's one less team we have to worry about in the division.
Im all of a sudden very excited to see the Lions this year. The Suh Fairly combo along with, let us not forget, Van Den Bosch should be pretty good. I think out line will be talked about throughout the league. Might the Lions lead the league in sacks this year? Its very possible now.

Count me in with the bass-ackward crowd who believe that secondary coverage leads to sacks and d-line pressure leads to interceptions.

But Ponder is not the man to lift them up. He was just an ok quarterback. Yeah, I know, look at Aaron Rogers. Not a great quarterback in college, was underrated in the pros and now he has a superbowl ring and MVP trophy.
Ugh, no comment on Ponder!?! LOL

But not a good comparison to Rodgers. Rodgers was actually a great college QB and was debated to go #1 overall. He took a late slide right before the draft because people were saying he was a "system" QB in college and won't pick up the NFL game. That's why he slid.

Ponder wasn't on anyone's radar for the 1st round and all of a sudden, boom, #12. So he shot up the draft while Rodgers slid forever.

I think Fairley is a lot like Warren Sapp coming out of college... character issues made him slide. Fairley has freakish athletic ability and will be a beast next to Suh!?!

EXCELLENT 1st round by my Saints. Got the 2nd highest rated DE at 24, then traded back into the 1st round to get the best RB in the draft!

The Failclowns gave up WAAY too much for Jules Jones (reminded me of the Ricky Williams draft by the Saints way back when)

I think Ponder and Locker both went way higher than they should have.

WHO DAT!

so stoked the Bears picked Carimi! Guy is absolute beast and fits into the franchise perfectly! Would love to see them trade up and grab Austin, but chances are slim!
