I'm kind hoping I didn't mess up by grabbing the black CGs over these
You didn't.

For my palate, the CG is the better tasting cigar. The Belle Encre is excellent, particularly in shape and construction -- it really WANTS to be smoked! It has a unique flavor and a pervading sweetness, especially the ridiculously fine broadleaf wrapper. And yes, the travel humi they come in is very chic: black nylon with the Tat logo in silver on top, with a wide silver zipper closure around the edge.

But again, my taste buds say CG. Which is good since they're cheaper :D

If anyone is having a hard time finding boxes or singles of either the CG or Belle Encre, my B&M has them. They're not cheap (California) but can be had pretty easily. CG $12, BE $15.

I've been buying the CG one at a time and smoked about 8 of em in the last 2 weeks. Nobody I've turned onto them has had anything but praise, including CC smokers.

I split for some and got a 5er. The first one I lit was a few days back and it was delicious! So smooth and sweet but the draw was very tight. Im hoping my others will do well with some sleep. Definitely a damn good smoke tho!

Truth! I'll try the belle reserve and see what's up. The normal belle ain't bad.

I sprung for two boxes of these at an event based on only smoking two, the two I had reminded me so much of the Barclay Rex which IMHO is Pete's best work ever.

I loved the Belle Encre reserva much more than the black CG. Definitely one of my top 5 cigars from Pete.

Off the top of my head:
1. Barclay Rex
2. Belle Encre Reserva
3. Black Label Robusto
4. Mini Mum
5. Regios Reserva

Bought a box of Belle Encre Reservas that seems to be much too wet. Gonna need some serious downtime. Two so far with multiple relights. One with a stem that was pretty wet apparently from what Pete told me. Look forward to them calming down because the first Belle Encre was very good!
