You get used to anything. You dont have to shovel the heat. Summer is like winter back east but not wet. Go from a cooled house to a cooled car to a cooled business. You dont slide on the heat. Its wonderful in the spring, winter and fall.
Land, obviously, is plentiful and work is performed primarily by non-union labor read: less expensive housling. Add to that over building by the developers and you have a real bargin in housing. Definately want to talk... VA is nice... but not me and my gf's cup of tea... she also wants to be closer to MO whrere her kids are and I want to be closer to CA where my elderly folks live... we have AZ and NM in mind as we feel they would fit out lifestyle better...Man, I've lived here for over 8 years, and I ain't going nowhere! It's nice 9 months out of the year, but it's hotter than hell for about 3...just like in the winter in other places, you stay inside and run your a/c while it's hot or get used to it and go outside...I'll send you my phone number, call if you want to talk...
