I was in the Caribbean this summer and decided it wasn't worth the hassle to deal trying to find real Cubans to smoke. I even found the LCDH in Cozumel, and after looking at 100 fake boxes on the street, even the real boxes started to look fake to me. Ended up buying nothing and being happy about it. Sorry bud.
That's exactly what I've done even in Europe, but my neighbor wanted some. My only thing is I wish I would have know about the glass top thing. I HAD NO IDEA.

Would not smoke even if u cut open. Remember that the people who are making the fakes know they are making fakes and it is illegal. Guessing not from a HUGE factory with atheir own supply of tobacco...probably some guy in a burnt out crack house filled with dead chickens...I know dramatic...BUT NO QUALITY INSPECTION AT ALL! Might be smoking something that could make you pretty sick pretty quick...just throwing it out there.
Complete crap like you guy's said. nothing but little pieces of crap inside.

Yep, that's the shit people unknowingly buy!?!

Just so happens last night at my B&M, a friend gave another friend a fake Behike 52 (as a joke) and asked him to smoke the great cigar that night. I was pretty surprised the guy even gave it to him and asked him to smoke it, but it wasn't my place to say anything. The person smoking it lit it up and said the first puff was great. We were surprised and then the guy giving it came clean and told him the story of it being fake.

I then chirped in saying I was surprised he let him light it up and that I wouldn't smoke any fakes not knowing what's inside. The smoker then let it go out and cut it open. Surprisingly it was all long-filler, but pretty brittle. It seemed like it was okay tobacco and no crap... but still, you have no idea what that "tobacco" really could be.

Now that I've seen what these fakes are made (crap/anything) of I wouldn't let anyone smoke them. My hands smelled of dirty leaves from my back yard.

One of my good friends recieved some "genuine Cubans" from his sister inlaw from her trip to Mexico. Glass top and label placement all wrong. I didn't have the heart to tell him they were fakes. Seeing what was probably in them I should have at least warned him.

I bought an empty glass top Cohiba Esplendido box in Mexico for $20. Put real esplendidos in there and had fun watching the reactions when I offered them to friends. The box finally fell apart. I'll get another one some day.
