Done Mike. I know if something happened to my aussie, Shelby, I would be very upset. Call if you need anything brother.
I'm right there with you my friend having gone thru it with the passing of my dog back in March.I just hate these threads. They always bring me back to those tough times I've had to go through. It's always so hard when anything like this happens to a beloved pet - whether it's a dog, cat, bird, or anything else. They are family.
What a great looking dog Syd is. I'm hoping for the best for you, your family, and of course Syd.
I am sure many of us have a few good dogs waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge - Thanks LarryRainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I'm so sorry to hear this. This kind of thing is never easy. At least you have time to say goodbye properly and can enjoy his company, and he yours, for a bit longer. My thoughts are with you brother. Thanks for all the prayers and wishes. You guys are the best!!! I mean that.
Unfortunately, there was no stone. So there really is no cure. He is back home tonight. We will need to give him a few I.V.s per week. The Vet said that will keep him around a little longer and keep him feeling better. I will take care of him as long as he is not in pain. He has been on an I.V. all day at the vet hospital and he seems pretty happy to be home.
