That looks and sounds like a damn good time!! Color me jealous. We have our states first distillery going through the motions of prepping to open by the bassist from the band Jimmy Eat World. I'm hoping it's more than a gimmick and that they actually produce a quality product.

Picked these up on Friday, at the distillery.

That's a young barrel age. Curious as to how hot it is. Have you tried the 3 year old yet?

I have tried it, several times now. It's not very hot. I learned that young distilleries use small barrels the first few years to increase surface area and that allows them to speed up the process.
