And lest ye think I embarked upon a purely selfish shopping trip...I also picked up a couple things for little man so he can properly celebrate 5/4:

Carlos @Texican , 88 proof? Make mine a triple.

Traded one of the 2023 Maker's Mark BEP limited release I picked up last week for another of my favorite from this line, the 2021 FAE-02. Although the BEP may be second, and I may have to pick up a couple more if I can find them at retail.

I have never had the chance to try Bookers and most around here are 130 and up. I got a shop to make a deal with me for 300 for these 3 bottles so who needs money anyway. On a side note I have a few bottles of EH small batch and blantons for trade so if anyone is interested.

I had to go to Lower WV for work this week and had a day in Huntington which is 15 minutes from KY so had to make my first trip across the river into Bourbon Country! Before the trip over I stopped a local shop and found a Elijah Craig Private barrel 8 year 129 proof I picked up (not pictured). These all came from the same shop, I couldn’t believe the selection coming from controlled states. At first they said they had no Blantons and to come back Thursday, as soon as I walked up with 4 bottles they magically had a bottle for me. I paid $534 for the haul not including a $100 for the Elijah Craig private barrel after taxes. Did I do ok or get ripped off? @icehog3 how does Kentucky Tea hold up to Ronnie’s and Pinky’s batches of bookers? They had one of the shelf for $129 that I debated on.

Some nice bottles there Chayse @the camaro show . You might have paid a little extra but I hardly think you got ripped off. That Maker's is really nice, probably the second best of the whole series.

I was saying that Kentucky Tea was the best Booker's since 2019 until Charlie's (23-01) came out. It's a really solid batch, but I'd be a buyer at $99 or less.

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this compared to the regular Bulleit Bourbon, Carlos.
I'll let you know. I didn't know they made a 10yr...it popped out at me as I perused the shelves. Always thought the standard Bulleit was good for the price. This one was like $10 more so we shall see.
