I've had it a few times now. My rum background isn't very broad. I started with Bacardi a few years ago and drank some other cheap stuff like Castillo when I was broke. I usually stick with Sailor Jerry.

That said, doing shots of Kraken sucks. Don't do it. Mixing it with Coke was pretty tasty though. It reminded me of Sailor but a little stronger.

Overall, it's not my favorite, but it's not a bad drink at all. I've definitely had worse. I'm not sure I would buy it again, but the bottle is kick ass.

I almost picked up a bottle the other day due entirely to the look.

So far, I haven't found anything I like more than Zaya... tons of bananas, caramel, and creme.

Flor de Cana 12yo is pretty good too - notes of oak, caramel, orange, and lemon... interesting mixture of orange and caramel... kind of like blending the two worlds of rum imo.

I need to explore rum more though... seems like there are so many out there...
