It is a brewery located in Mt. Pleaseant, SC about 2 hours north of me.
They have consistently been putting out amazing beers. Their Mexican Cake which was the 1st anny beer was amazing. Mexican cake was redone with a 2013 release and it has gotten national recognition. Adding sumwhat to the mystique (like heady topper) is they have a small distro footprint which seems to be getting bigger and bigger.

All of their beers are really well done. If you see it in your neck of the woods definitely give it a try!

By the way, all you Mexican Cake fans. It appears a barrel aged version is going to be coming very soon. It is a brewery release only. I'm thinking about making the drive for it!!!

As long they don't release it next week, I will also be driving down to Mt Pleasant to pick up some. Can't wait!

Picked up the bourbon first and then asked Javaman about the Rye and then decided I must compare both scientifically. When I picked up the rye today I noticed a 10yr bourbon from Bulleit sitting there. Anyone had that one?

Would trade unborn child for mexican cake barrel aged
Interesting too, they did a couple different barrel types. There is a thread in BA/South-Atlantic that gets into the different barrels. Also, it is much speculated the release will begin on a Thursday which is the first day the sample room is open. I hope to run up on Saturday, it open at 12pm, and see what I can get anything.

Before MC was distributed it was available at the brewery and you could walk in grab a case (12) max. I would be happy with that!

This isn't as much a purchase as it was a trade. I had a bottle of George T. Stagg in my liquor cabinet from 2011, I think, unopened. I had a half a bottle that I've been drinking out of, and thought someone else could get something more from the GTS than I would. So I called my buddy who does a lot of beer trading. I told him to post up the GTS to use his trading cred, and I'd ship it out. I said I was looking for sours to trade. Well my box came today and this is what was in there! I'm psyched and feel that I got a downright awesome trade especially considering I paid MSRP for the GTS.
