Craig,

Don't let Bob, Dale, Colin, Andex or Pete talk you into eating anything you don't know. Trust me on this one!

FYI, this is a trip put together by Collin Ganley, Bob and Dale from Dogwatch Cigar Radio. Pete will be having dinner with these guys too.

Have a blast down there Craig! Can't wait to hear more and see pics. Hope you get to enjoy a Dirty Rat, and that all of you on the trip can help convince Jonathan to put them into production.

I went on the exact same trip back in September 2008....it was cigartastic!

Here's some pic's from my trip.

1. room for two
2. there was poker games every night, and I don't believe they were playing for cigars!
3. good weather and you will be eating at poolside
4. & 5. rain and you will be eating in the lounge
6. the poker room without a game being played
7. The Crew - Jesse from Sub-Culture, don't remember his name he ran one of the factories, Rick Ardito, and Pedro, your tour guide.

Well excuse me for wanting to share with my friends! :eyepoke:

....I forgot to mention, if you're inclined to get a tatoo while you're down there, Jesse is also a damn good tatoo artist!

Don't have that much time this evening. Rum tastings, poker games & cigar tests to come still tonight. The updates are as follows:
-I've figured out a way to better describe John. He's a cigar guy FIRST and an entrepreneur second. NOT the other way around.
-The Rat will "likely" be released next IPCPR. That comes from Nick but should not be considered concrete until an official release is announced. That being said, he encouraged me to post something if I had been asked.

Hope all is well. You are missing the best single cigar trip I've ever been on. That's saying a lot.

Sounds like a hell of a trip so far, Craig. Hope you enjoy the tastings...don't freak them out by unwrapping a cigar, or cutting one in half. LOL Great news on the Dirty Rat, too!!!

Don't worry brother. I didn't unwrap anything (completely)... I did, however, test the "40% wrapper flavor" comment from Joya de Nicaragua by taking off half of it. I wouldn't say I agree but it did become noticeably different. I also made two little "cigars" from both Padron & JdN Ligero & veso(I think). The JdN was a little sweeter & more balanced. No idea the age of each leaf as all 4 were found on the floors next to their respective pilons.
