When it is a cigar you can't get your hands on, farm rolled etc. It's nice to be able to see what the flavor profile is likeDude. I remember puff, puff, holddddddddddddddd, pass. Man. That was real man. But a cigar. Wow. Like hmmmm. I dunno.
Hope we didn't scare you away.....it just seems a little odd and not something an aficionado would do. Once you get a good stash going you it won't seem AS bad to chuck half a stick if you have to.One day, a friend of mine wanted to split a cuban cigar with me. Since time was short, she cut the cigar in half and we proceeded to smoke our respective halves. It was a Cohiba. I've had a whole one before, smoking half was a little anti-climactic
Have you ever smoked half a Cuban Cigar? Is there a difference in smoking half as opposed to the whole? What did I miss? If I didn't see her cut it in half and she gave it to me like that whould I have still felt let down?
Inquiring minds want to know
That would have been cute. I'm sure she would have been flattered by the proposition... She's a 72 year old grand mother. Now if I were smoking the cigar with her daughter (who is about 50) or Grand Daughter (who is Gorgeous) that thought would be more appealing.Puff puff pass? :dunno:
Why not all three?:hearteyesThat would have been cute. I'm sure she would have been flattered by the proposition... She's a 72 year old grand mother. Now if I were smoking the cigar with her daughter (who is about 50) or Grand Daughter (who is Gorgeous) that thought would be more appealing.
As a smoker who loves a Cigarsa from the ISOM I didn't want to insult my host when she offered, Plus she doesn't speak much English and I don't speak any Spanish so when she offerred I accepted. In her defense, the next time we smoked we each had a stick.Hope we didn't scare you away.....it just seems a little odd and not something an aficionado would do. Grandma can watch and keep score, provide refreshments and the cigars. Why not all three?:hearteyes
OK, I'll admit ... I've cut a few churchills in half. Reason being that I loved the flavor profile of the cigar, but just did not have the 1.5+ hrs to spend on smoking the whole thing in one sitting. These were also cigars that are no longer made (Mayorga Green band) - so I had no choice of buying them in a different size. IMO, the smokes were just as enjoyable.
See I knew I wasn't the only one...

That being said, I would not do this on a something like a Cohiba VI or SLR DC.
Good luck man.Hey if you cut a churchill in half you get almost two petit coronas, well almost. I will give it a try tomorrow and report back on if there is actually a diminish in taste. Well with a NC anyways
Nope. This was only a concern on the half from the foot end of the cigar. But I moistened the upper end of the wrapper before and while smoking and had no problems.Very interesting.
Did they unravel?
