Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Lucky douche :stretchgr (as my wife currently chastises my choice to drink a Coke before bed).I was floored not to long ago. One night after we got the boys to bed when I usually go out and smoke, I decided I would come on to bed, well my wife lovingly looks at me and says "Are you not going outside tonight?" and I thought she would be happy I decided not to go. Turns out she wanted me to go out. She said when I go out she gets to fall asleep before me and gets better sleep. So now I get to go out and have a smoke every night thanks to my snoring! I love my wife!!!
......Communication and compromise is the key to a successful relationship. I have found that honesty is more rewarding in the end....jmho.Wife wants me to smoke less because she says that I've started smoking too much.
Does it count if I just smoke less when she's around but smoke more when she's gone?
I think so.
I like the way you think :ccowboy:What is "too much"?
Not trying to be an ass, but could you not say the same about many things she does "too much", you eat, you bitch, want less sex, shop, etc...
I would find out her reasoning behind her request. Does your "too much" take away time that you could be spending with her, or the kids (if you have any). I would get the real reason she feels you need to smoke less. It's a marriage and you have to work together.
2 cigars in a week?In reply to Plush it doesn't take away any time from her. She just gets hung up on the number of cigars in a week. If I smoke 2 cigars in a week she freaks. She is worried about the health consequences. And try as I might I can't get her to understand that the health effects of cigars are different than someone smoking a pack a day.
