Easily fixed. Wet the wrapper. Get it under a faucet then just blot it dry and smoke it. It'll give the wrapper a little more elasticity since it's a little more wet. Tobacco is hygroscopic and the binder will take the humidity out of the wrapper leaving the overly humidified filler to expand and crack the wrapper.

I finally had my first Red Tubo!! It was last night at NHC, coutesy of Pete and Dan.

Bottom line: Great cigar.

Mine seemed a bit wet maybe, as it needed several relights, though to be fair I was talking a lot. For the first inch it reminded me a lot of the Verocu #9, then as the spice evened out the flavors kept developing. The more I smoked it, the better it was, and by the end I was convinced that it's a worthy barrer of the Verocu name.

We'll need some more time to see how they really compare to the West/East. But they're great now and imvho will get even better. There is a lot to live up to, though, as the West and East Side are my two favorite cigars on the planet.

I received a box of Reds in the mail last week, after inspecting them I found 3 that had cracked wrappers. I thought about it and I sent an email to the shop to tell them I would be sending them back. We will see how it goes. I would have thought by now that they would have been the 2nd batch. I think what is happening is when I find rock bottom prices like the Illusion MK's I got last month with a box date code of Aug 07 that the prices are cheap since they are at the bottom of inventory which is the oldest stuff they have. At least that is what I was told about the Illusions.
