My apologies (NOT...lol) if this has been previously posted:

SMOKING 5-Pack Deals @ CI!!

Got my new catalog and was thumbing through it....lo and behold...killer 5-Pack deals!

Here's the link to the "5-Pack Deals" (otherwise if you go to the main cigar order pages you won't see the discounts):

http://www.cigarsinternational.com/proddisp.asp?item=CS-FPM&stext=SP-OBA5056-5

Here's what I loaded up with:

SP-OBA5056-5
CAO Brazilia Gol! 5-Pack
5-PACK (reg.$28.25) 4 x $15 .00 = $60.00

SP-VKA7048-5
Rocky Patel Vintage '92 Churchill 5-Pack
5-PACK (reg.$38.75) 1 x $20.00 = $20.00

Sub-Total: $80.00
Shipping: $6.50
Sales Tax: $0.00
Order Total: $86.50

****What makes the deal so KILLER is that the CI normally sells the Gol! box of 20 for $78 or thereabouts...I essentially bought a box (four 4-packs = 20 sticks) for $60!****

FrankN has been trying to get me to give the RPV '92s a shot, so, for $20, it seems like a no-brainer.

As much as I'm a sucker for cigar related "toys" I just can't get myself to see the practicality of this bag. Anyone here actually own one of these, or at least seen one in person?

My local B&M has one. It does look pretty cool, would make a great travel humidor. But the "slots" do seem fitted to those sizes of sticks as opposed to a regular travel humi that can old pretty much any size (can't confirm that, just a visual inspection).

Wouldn't you like to know?
I have one and travel humi it is not. The real use for the bag I haven't figured out yet but it is nice. Just has no way of maintaining humidity and for anything other the the factory smoke they will move alot.

Is it a good size for a carry on bag on an airplane? Or more like a cosmetic bag you pack with the rest of your luggage?

Don't buy it for the bag, you will be disappointed ...it is NOT a travel humidor by any means...

I got mine for $99, and the cigars alone in it are worth 3 times that...hell, the triple maduros go for $13 each...

What he said. I've seen them in person. I was lucky enough to get one of the CLEs as a single from my B&M because the bags are not selling.

Anyone get the email from Atlantic Cigar on the Patel Edge "box outs"? I'm likely to jump on these just because I love the Maduros, but just wondering if their story pans out... ie that they were shipped in bundles of 20 without boxes due to the manuf being "out" of them.

Sounds like BS to me. LOL

Maybe they're RP seconds? CI gets them all the time...

If you scroll down that email a bit, they have some killer deals going on DPG Blacks too.

We'll see; the description on the web page states "The cigar is the same in all respects, the same cigar with/out the box is the only difference."

Bit on it anyway, as even if they are 2nds it's not any worse of a deal than what CI carries (although CI's are typically bundles of 15, not 20)
