It's true, the "anti-cancer" thing is a hypocritical canard. The Wendy's example is on point.
BUT if you're going to explore a cigar business, better get your ducks in a row before you spend $1. Because sure as shit somebody's going to complain. Better to hash it out before anyone's out of pocket.
I don't know the area at all. But if there's already a bar there that neighbors are complaining about, they're probably being bothered by it. And they see a cigar shop as an extension of that, and they will do whatever they can to keep any business that's serving clients anything at night out of their hood. I get it. Some of them probably moved into the hood knowing the bar was there -- that's on them. But stopping a new business is an option for them. I doubt there's anything talk is going to do to resolve this with them.
