I havent posted regularly in about 9 months or so. Back in December 2013 I had to have a third surgery for my Crohns Disease (a couple more feet of intestines gone). Since that time Ive had more problems than in the past if I smoke a cigar (smoking is bad for those have Crohns Disease, but I havent been affected by it too much until now). I get quite sick for a few days and its no longer worth smoking cigars as I have been for the past 40 years.
My big question now has been what to do about my stash of cigars that I have sitting in my humidor. Ive been trying to think of a BOTL way to distribute them and not try to sell them off in small lots. Since I know how much BOTLers raffles I was curious if selling 100 numbers which I would I tie to the Dow Jones on a specified day whoever matches the cents portion or the Dow Jones would win my entire collection (I could also use the NASDAQ, which would win a small samplers).
I havent counted my cigars in a while but I have a couple hundred premium cigars (no crap) about half CC and half NC mostly robustos along with a bunch of accessories.
Once I figure what I have to get rid of I could decide on decent price to charge for each number ($10 to $20) and I would give the majority of the money to CCFA (Crohns Colitis Foundation of America) or something similar.
My questions are (if you gotten this far) are:
1) would something like the above met the BOTL requirements?
2) how many people would actually be interested in something like this (if I set a limit of 1 or 2 per person then I would need a minimum of 50 people).
