I stopped by the Bull City Cigar Company's new retail shop tonight and walked out with this brand new shop exclusive Indonesian blend. I'm not usually a fan of Indonesian blends. This one had a nice deep flavor to it that complimented the Indonesian tobacco very well. Not your typical overly bright style of blend with this tobacco. It was super fresh and only "a couple of weeks" old. A ton of potential in this one. I nubbed it on an empty stomach with no nicotine issues.
I would suggest trying it out when they get it on the site. Let it rest a month and see what you get. Actually, try calling them and see if they'll ship you some. I'm sure they'll throw some into an order for you.
I got to meet the owner while I was there. He was more than cordial and inviting. He showed me the rolling room and we talked about their plans for building a lounge. These guys are the definition of a boutique label. They have two or three rollers and work in a small 12'x12' room. It was crammed with two work benches, tons of molds, crates of tobacco, and a big wooden book case for holding the completed cigars. They aren't contracting out to a factory and putting their label on it. These are guys with a real love of the craft.
Give them a look (and some love if you so choose.)
