This afternoon after work I had this Casa Fernandez Miami Aganorsa Leaf Maduro Robusto Extra (#11 on Cigar Afficianados Top 25 of 2016). This was my second time with this cigar, and although not enough time to really judge a cigar, I must say this far I'm not a big fan of this cigar nor it holding the spot that it's in. Most traditional Maduros you envision what, a deep, dark, rather robust, but otherwise smooth smoking cigar like is common with Padron, Oliva, Fuente, even that Casa Turrent that I smoked yesterday? Well I don't get that with this. It definatly is on the robust side, but was rather harsh to smoke. Now I have one more of these I'm gonna try to age for a full year (this one had about 5 months on it) and try it again next summer, but for now I'm a littke curious what caused this cigar to make its way on last year's list. Time hopefully will tell. One thing I will say about this cigar is the band is gorgeous that deep redish or maroon color blended with black and topped off with gold trim just looks fantastic against this great looking cigar. Was a shame it didn't smoke as well as it looked.
