Don Toirac Box Pressed

I'm kind of impressed to be honest. I don't know how long it sat in the shop, but after about four weeks in the Tupperware it is good to go.

From the website:
BOX PRESS 54 x 5.25
Wrapper: San Andres Maduro
Binder: Negrito
Filler: T13 Ligero, T13 Seco, Broadleaf, Corojo Viso, Colombia Viso

Edit: It starts off well and more complex than expected. From about 20% - 45% of the cigar the Negrito and Broadleaf can be overwhelming and bitter if you aren't careful with the pace. Then at the half way point the San Andres kicks back in and there is a good earthy and chocolate taste. Some complexity returns but it loses the balance from the beginning. A decent smoke, but not a $13 cigar in my opinion.

With about 2.75 months of rest this is much better than I thought initially. I would say it has a cinnamon toothpick flair with floral/fruit and white pepper on a creamy smoke through the first inch.

Edit:
This is a good cigar and definitely worth the price if you enjoy Corojo. What really makes it interesting is that it shows yet another profile that a Honduran Corojo Puro can produce. As part of the wide ranging portfolio including the Asylum 13 Corojo, Medulla Oblongata, Marte's 13, CLE Corojo, Eiroa Natural, and Eiroa Jamastran, this some how finds its own niche with a profile different enough to make it worth a try if you like any of those others.
Appreciate what you're doing. It's like Mikenice81's spirit is still here with us.

I really enjoyed the aladino that was recommended; I'll definitely look into mayem.

I don't remember the first one of these being so strong, but glad I had a full stomach and soda in the fridge.
2 hours and 46 minutes for a robusto was a first for me.o_O It was a bit tight, but not THAT tight. World Smoking Championships here I come!
