Viaje DES 1st Impressions

Picked up a 5 pack. Thought about the box, but I would have blown my monthly budget as I am expecting to pick up a 10ct box of the Tat Le Verite at the end of the month. And the DES is just not a size I prefer, so i got the robusto 5 pack as well : )

I smoked one tonight with Dan and wow, it was good. The beginning it was hard for me to figure out the flavors but the last third was really kicking. I was tasting milk chocolate, especially after taking a sip of water after a puff.

The burn and the draw were perfect.

Since only 5 shops got these It's also really cool that viaje put the name of the shop you got it at on the bottom.

It will say " Hecho Para Empire" or " Hecho Para New havana" Kind of a cool touch.

Smoked one tonight. I couldn't resist! This cigar has some balls! Very full bodied at the opening. Dark dark flavors, chocolate, leather, Espresso/black coffee, and pepper. It mellows out nicely going into the second third. Great Burn, tons of thick smoke.I can't wait to smoke another in a few days! Detailed review to follow...

got my package today too!!! smokes a DES and a robusto... the DES takes the cake between the 2 for now...

why?

i smoked the DES and had an experiance much like everyone else... thick, potent, etc...

i cut the robusto... pre-draw is perfect... light with cedar match and almot fall off my chair!!! i got dropkicked with smoke, full big clouds of smoke, almost overwhelming!! i will punch the next one i smoke and see how it compares...

not a bad thing, just not what i expected!! man are these strong!!

Seems odd that Viaje would give them both to the same stores as opposed to spreading them around a little. Good to know though, thanks!
