Brand new to the forum, really enjoying it here.

As for what I do - I'm a police dispatcher/911 operator. In my spare time, I referee minor hockey, play online poker, and chase around my two stepdaughters.

Thus, cigars are a great way to force me to just sit and chill whenever I get an hour or so to relax.

Not all that new to BOTL at this point, but I don't recall seeing this post before. I work at a veterinary clinic as a receptionist/technician/assistant. It's an enjoyable job for the most part. Outside of work and apart from cigars I also enjoy chess, collecting insects (hence my screen name), fishing, and mountain biking. My wife and I have a lot of pets also which keep us busy.

Well let's see, aside from being a cigar nut...

I'm 28 years old, married to my lovely wife of 7 years who is incredible at supporting my love for cigars as well as my dozens of other obsessions... errr... I mean "hobbies." She's an amazing woman and we've got three wonderful kids. I'm an Electronics Technician in the US Coast Guard, and have been on Active Duty for over 10 years.

In addition to job and family responsibilities, my wife and I both attend college part time. I LOVE music, and have been an avid guitarist for more than 15 years of my life. I also love to work on cars and trucks, imports and domestics, though my hotrodding/tuner days are in the past (at least until I can use my midlife crisis as an excuse to buy a 1987 Buick GNX or '98 Supra twin turbo).

I'm just an average blue-collar (blue uniform, actually) kind of guy, covered in tattoos, listening to heavy metal music, and working hard to support my family and constantly improve our quality of life. I don't smoke $20 cigars on a daily basis, but my local B&M's and CI have been very good to me and I jump on every great deal that I find, and I'm always willing to share for the sake of spreading the enjoyment of cigars to another potential enthusiast.

I am 26 years old, just married this last summer to my wife Jennie. I graduated last May with my BS in Biochemistry. For the last several years I worked as a veterinary tech at the same clinic as danthebugman, but recently started working in a laboratory as a chemical technician. I became friends with TreeFrogFrank through work and usually chat about cigars and pipes with him when at work.

I have two mini-dachshunds named Chloe and Sophie, and two cats named Lilly and Emmy. I am originally from Texas, and moved to Missouri to finish college. I enjoy playing Xbox 360, working out in the yard and camping.

I am 32, born and raised in the San Francisco bay area. I am married to my bride of 8 years. We have a 4.5 year old and 2 year old. Both boys. Our first daughter is due in June.

I have had quite a few jobs in my short history ranging from an executive director of a non-profit ministry to my current career as a financial advisor. I enjoy helping people and have found a way to do that across several different industries.

I am relatively new to cigars, 2 years, but not new to hobbies. I enjoy running and cycling and love putting it all together in triathlon. I try to do a tri every year with Team In Training, the fundraising arm of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

My first love, prior to the mistress of cigars, is woodworking. I am currently studying Japanese hand tools and joinery. You know my next project is a hand made desktop humidor. I will be sure to post pix.

That's me in short. On to the next brother...

NO F'N WAY!

Are you studying with Jay van Arsdale?!

I moved to the Bay Area too late to enroll in his course but I plan to get in on the summer class. And to think we became official BOTL friends yesterday... This is too strange!

I've thought about a tansu humidor and how absolutely badass that would be. Good luck!

31, born and raised in the Minneapolis area. After college, I moved back to Minnesota, where I've been working as a research manager for a consumer insights consultancy.

Got into cigars around 18, and probably started to "get it" a few years later. Now I'm on my third humidor, and thanks to this forum, seriously considering building a wine-idor/coolidor. Thanks a lot, jerks. :)

Learning about new cigars all the time, but my all time stand-by sticks are AF 858 Maduros, Padron 3000, Pandron Anniv 1926, RP Edge maduros. Had my first Tat about an hour ago, and DAMN. I'm a fan.

Best stick I've ever had... cuban Punch Petit Punch. The thing was a dream.

Hmm.......well, retired FF (22 years). I'm 55 now and try to stay active playing racquetball 3 days a week. I am a shotgun shooting fiend. I compete all over the U.S. in sporting clays. I own a duck club here in Calif. and also do quite a bit of bird hunting.

Kids are all grown and on their own so it's just the wife and I. Wife is an RN in surgery at a major hospital so her schedule leaves me with a lot of shooting time on my hands. I also do some teaching (for about 8 years now) so I keep pretty busy.

Nothing better than spending the day at the range, shooting a little with friends, smoking cigars, eat a little lunch and just enjoy being with people.

I'm heading to NJ here in a couple weeks for a tourn. and one night am hooking up with about 15 or so botls/sotls from the area. Looking forward to it!!!

Anyone near Dante's on the 16th of April, come in and meet us!!!

I guess nothing to exciting, I'm a Political Science student at the local University and from April to late fall I run a landscaping business with my father - Top Notch landscaping.

In my off time I rock climb allot, I generally spend 4 days a week at the climbing gym and climb outdoors when ever I can, mostly bouldering though but my friends and I get away to do sport climbing (routes) when ever its feasible. I also took up traditional climbing in the past year (placing gear in the rock) and my dream some day is to go out to Yosemite and do some big walling.

Outside of all of that I exercise quite heavily, in the summer I run 3-4 days a week 3-6 in my on days and work out quite heavily (mainly to support my climbing habit).

When I'm not preoccupied with all my other hobbies I enjoy hunting, typically turkey in the spring, deer in the fall and coyote in the winter. I also get away once every year to go Moose hunting up in Thunderbay Ontario and I also enjoy target shooting.

On top of all of this I've been playing guitar for the last 11 years, mostly acoustic fingerstyle stuff, once in a while I bring out the fender and turn out some blues jams.

I read quite extensively and used to write quite heavily, both creative and poetry but since I've been in school I've been turned off from it by the multitude of heavy writing I have to do for the program I'm in.

Thats me in a nutshell

I guess I'll go....
almost 51, married for almost 28 years, three 'kids', Son 24, Daughter 21, Son 18. VP with a very large construction company, been there 20+ years. Manage bidding, estimating, purchasing in Chicago and Indy.

I did a lot of coaching (soccer) for about 17 years, raising the kids with my wife. I like woodworking, soccer & hockey (watching), looking forward to developing other hobbies since the last kid is off to college in the fall. Big time renewed cigar lover, want to do some real fishing.

And if anyone knows why "petite corona" keeps showing up under my avatar let me know how to make it go away. I'm offended being 6'-3" and 280#, I'm more like a robusto (lol)

I am a student at the University of Alberta (Sociology) and for my cigar income I'm a sales and service tire technician at Kal Tire, which only has it's commercial and passenger vehicle market in Canada yet is the largest single commercial tire company in North America. I think we're doing something right haha. I used to work at a Michelin Tire dealer and was offered a position at Kal Tire after about a year of experience. As boring as it sounds I enjoy my work and wholeheartedly support my employers (they do support my taste for those Cuban cigars after all...) NEXT!

i used to be a pilot in the civilian world and an aviator in the navy. negligent doctors and worse drivers robbed me of my flight status and now i'm a disabled citizen. then, i worked all over the cigar industry trying to find a new passion for life and all i picked up was a nasty habit. i currently work as an artist (showing my work in galleries) and as a marketing design consultant, while i'm finishing up my mba piece by piece.

i'm married but travel for work more than half the month...you'll commonly find me sleeping in my favorite tent while traveling, paragliding, and playing with film while i attempt to see things from a different light.
