I'm a middle school computer instructor

I enjoy playing acostic guitar and writing praise and worship songs :sing:. I lead worship at my church. I also have two CD's out and working on my third CD called Broken right now. These are a collections of songs I have written from some very hard times. My wife and I have been throught a lot. We have lost both of our fathers to cancer. My wife got cancer and almost died but is 5 years cancer free, praise God. I got tetnis from a surgery and almost died. It's my prayer that this project will help people through those hard times we all face, life.

I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of the new school year. I have been published international with my second CD. I have had the honor of one of my songs picked up and recorded on 3 other recording projects.

I ride motorcycles and have a 2000 Valkyrie Interstate. My wife and I enjoy taking our vacations on the motorcycle and have put many miles on the bike together.

New guy here, Well I'm a residential remodeling contractor in IN. I've been married to the same wonderful woman for almost 30 yrs. We have 2 great kids one just started college the other a freshman in HS. I've got a great workshop where I build heirloom quality furniture and such. (Also the place of my mini-man-cave). I've recently been making a bunch of custom cigar ashtrays for some brothers of the leaf all over the US.
Enjoy hunting with my brothers once a yr. in MI. for whitetails. Enjoy putting in our garden, hiking/canoeing and about anything outdoors.

Up until 2 weeks ago I was the assistant manager of a beer and wine brewery.

Unfortunately, many factors ended up with the place going under. It's nigh-impossible to successfully run a business like that here in Ontario, due to the incredible strict liquor laws and steep competition from the "big three" (Molson, Labatt and Sleeman).

Tomorrow night I am leaving for New York City. I will be living with my girlfriend there for a few months, trying to find work as a writer. Writing is what I went to school for.

From 2005-2007 I was a radio DJ for two stations, and the production manager for one of them. I wrote and produced commercials, splitters, etc.

Unfortunately, the pay in radio sucks. Coupled with the hours, I just couldn't pursue it as a lifelong career.

To give you an idea of how much life in radio can suck - I was offered a job in Winnipeg (so I'd have to move across the country) to work 10 hours a day, 6 days a week, for $8/hour.

27 years old. 3 years out of school & Recently married. I am the manager of operations for a recruiting firm. I work hard.

I love to play golf, racquetball, collect wristwatches, watch NFL & College football, I'm a huge poker junky, love to learn about anything that interests me. I love to learn how things work both mechanically and behaviorally. I snowboard, I love visiting Chicago (something about that city that just gets me). I used to be real big into playing Halo on xbox back in college.

I like to play the bass, create art, and listen to music (mainly old school punk rock).

I hate hate hate to read but I force myself to read (actually, I listen to the tapes) books. I also force myself to read magazines that talk talk about business... they are growing on me.

On th business-side-of-things I consider myself to be more of a free-thinker/visionary/entrepreneurial type than traditional. I'd like to go work for Google if i had the chance.

Wow, a six year old (and still running) post!

I am married (35 years) with two grown daughters. One is a teacher in Sarasota, FL and the other is an art student in college in Michigan.

As a career I sell advertising for a weekly business-to-business newspaper in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Been at it for 24 years, with a 15 year career as a morning radio deejay and news guy prior to that. I must be old.

I just ended 27 years in elected office as a local city councilmember in Holland, MI. I figured leaving on my own terms was a wise thing to do after nearly three decades in office. I loved the challenge but it was time to move on.

I am a 40-year veteran Great Lakes shipwreck scuba diver. (Certified as a diver in 1971 at age 16). In 2001 I started the non-profit Michigan Shipwreck Research Associates, a 501(c)3 organization that researches, searches for, discovers and documents historic shipwrecks in the Great Lakes.

I recently wrote a book called, "For Those in peril: Shipwrecks of Ottawa County Michigan" which was published in March 2010. I am traveling and doing presentations to support this endeavor.

I am president of the Rich Family Association a surname-based genealogy society based in Wellfleet, MA.

In addition to cigars, I enjoy writing, genealogy, local history, collecting Beatles vinyl, preserving my 1986 BMW 325es, Guinness Stout and music of all kinds.

Heya fellas.

I am 32, married 2 years, my wife is due with our first...actually due today...lol. I am former marine, served 96-00. I am an electrician, I hate union work.

I brew beer, have been for several years, I prefer ales and old world style beers. I prefer maduro cigars, although my experience is somewhat limited, I am working on expanding my selection.

I hate modern technology, I prefer vinyl to digital...I listen to Sinatra, Dino, Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, etc. I read profusely, prefer historical fiction, historical non-fiction, and biographies of great people such as Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin.

I am a social animal, love being around people. I am a drink snob, I drink only my beer, 12 year old scotch, or Gin martini's. lol. Anything else just ask! lol

I'm 25 and a police officer in St. Louis. I have been married for just over 2 years and have no kids...yet.

I enjoy reading, listening to music and smoking cigars (obviously). To me, it doesn't get much better than chilling on the deck with the wife, listening to some good blues with a good book and a nice smoke. I enjoy playing any kind of sport, especially hockey, soccer, and football. I don't get to do it too much as I work WAY too much, but that's the way it works.

OK, I'll jump in on this one.

I'm Drew, I'm 25, been married three years, full time student working towards an Au.D. in Audiology, but I've got lots of time left. I just finished learning American Sign Language which is a lot of fun, and recently started a new position where I job coach our clients who have varying levels of MR/DD.

I recently sold my motorcycle (2005 GSXR 600) so that the wife and I could have some moneys for a down payment on a house. We recently submitted an offer on a home, but it didn't work out, so we are back to square-one.

I have lots of hobbies, nothing in particular that stands out except for the cigar addiction I seem to have contracted. Other than that, I'm a pretty simple guy.

Don't think I saw this thread before, so here goes:

I'm 40, married for 3.5 years, no kids (not that I know about anyways1) and am a Market Development Manager for Sony Ericsson. What is a MDM you say? Well, it's a really fancy was of saying Product Rep and it looks a lot more impressive on a business card than "Product Representative". I love what I do and sometimes it amazes me that I get paid to play with cell phones.

Other than cigars, I love golf, shooting (rifle), hockey, cooking, wine, scotch, travel, fishing and few other things. I have an undying thirst for knowledge but I also get bored very easily so it's not uncommon for me to learn everything I can about something in a very short amount of time, then forget about it for a while only to pick it up again at a later date. A lot of it comes from cheating death a few times and once in particular so everything in the past 12 years and counting has been gravy for me.

40s, married 8 years, clinical social worker and film professor on weekends at local Art Institute. LOVE both jobs.

Passions: helping others, film, and cigars.

Would love to have a clinic where all three were an essential part of a definitive therpeutic intervention.

I'm working on it......

My name is Ryan and I live in the Chicago area. I am 30, been married for 7 1/2 years, have a 2 year old daughter that keep me busy and thoroughly entertained. I hold a BA degree in automotive technology, ASE master certified auto technician and I finished my MBA a year ago. To say I am a gear head is an understatement. I was an auto technician for a few years then I got sick of it and now work for a vehicle service contract provider for GM. Being from Chicago I am a Cubs fan (I know) and a Bears fan. I jumped on the Blackhawks band-wagon last year but baseball was my first passion. I like most kinds of music, but I am a head banger! I also like to golf, work on cars, and hang with the friends & family. That is me in a nutshell.

I am an out of work bartender and currently attending Juniior College part time. I hope to transfer to a major university this coming fall. My expenses are minimal so I can spend a few bucks on cigars here and there. I live in the southern part of Monterey County. It is very beautiful rural setting close to Pinnacles Natl. Monument and Los Padres forest so if you like the outdoors it's pretty nice. I am surrounded by fields and Vineyards. Great scenery but as you can imagine there isn't very much going on socially. I would kill for a little Cigar lounge or a social club to open up in one of these towns! But hey, take the good with the bad right?
I am majoring in Psychology and am considering minoring in something like accounting or anything to do with finance in order to have a practical skill on my resume. I want to earn a masters degree so that I can teach as well. Perhaps with a background in numbers I can get into administrative positions if being a counselor does not pan out. The job market looks bleak so I want to be someone who can be plugged into various areas. I am also considering law school but not before I have a masters.
Cigars are my only money draining hobby at this time. I am also a vinyl junkie but I'm on the wagon. I can't serve two masters at once or I'll end up living under a bridge somewhere smoking swisher sweets when a kind stranger takes pity on me. I enjoy fishing because it's relatively cheap and I can enjoy a cigar while enjoying the outdoors.
As much as I enjoy the outdoors and the quiet life I love the city as well. I don't get to go out as much as I used to because the two plus hour drive up and the killer 6am drive home is tough to deal with. I miss being able to walk out the door at midnight and being able to have dinner or go lounge hopping.
Smoke in good health people!
