New Guy here.

I am soon to be 24 years old, and a couple of weeks after that will be getting married to my college sweetheart. Isn't it amazing when you find your soulmate?

I'm an accountant for an independent oil & gas company, but my passion is in the law so I am in the midst of applying to schools.

My hobbies include fishing, hunting, shooting, camping and backpacking. Basically anything you can do outdoors. I also find refuge in increasing my knowledge and love for God my Father.

I am relatively new to the cigar scene. I am the type that buys em and smokes em. Maybe 3-5 a year. However, I would like to further develop my hobby and gain a real appreciation for a fine cigar.

Being new, I am looking forward to learning as much as possible from past threads and having my questions answered. You guys have been so helpful thus far, I can't wait to get more involved.

Hi Folks,

Age: 43 been married 21 years....I can smoke in the house! My main gig is IT Consulting, I also work about 12 hours a week in a cigar store. I'm in Liberty, NC (about 22 miles west of Chapel Hill)

I like to skydive, 140 jumps, I build computers for friends and family, play guitar, and age cigars!

I like to learn about cigars so don't be surprised if I ask stupid questions!

Wow. I can't believe I haven't posted in this one.

I'm 42, married 21 years to my high school sweetheart. Two kids, 15 yo girl & 12 yo boy. Three cats, a dog, a bird, fish & mice. I love to cook, build things with my hands, old cars, music, NASCAR, football & hockey, wine, cigars. I'm a web junkie and our local school district's K-12 technology director for the last 10+ years. I absolutely LOVE to ride motorcycles. I have a '99 Honda Shadow ACE right now.

I play bass guitar in a Christian rock band called Crimson Tide and guitar and bass in our church praise band. I used to be heavy into model cars but between the bands and other hobbies they've taken a back seat for now. I'm also into politics pretty heavy being a Christian and a conservative and not minding giving my opinion on almost any subject. We also like to bowl as a family and we're on a church league and the kids are on a local kid's league. I'm sure there's more but I can't remember at the moment. :)

I'm the Chief of Police of a university police department. Been in law enforcement for 17 years, first as a patrol deputy and K-9 handler for a local Sheriff's Office before coming to the university 5 years ago. They'll have to drag me away from here kicking and screaming. Besides being in charge, I love my banker's hours, Christmas off and not being called an M.F.'er by a drunk/felon/trailer trash several times a week... that crap having gotten old a long time ago.

I got married for the second time around last year (1st anniversary is next Friday... I remembered.) We have 5 kids between us, ranging from 21 to 6, 2 grandchildren, plus one very big dog and a bunny rabbit. I married a Texan and there's never a dull moment at our house. :help:

My main obsession IS cigars, but I also always have a book in hand, usually in the process of reading 2 or 3 different ones. One of my first screen names, back in the day of AOL 3.0, was "Bookwormcop," which fits me pretty well. I'm also into Civil War history (My office sits on the Fredericksburg battlefield.) (And oh yeah- I usually call it "The War of Northern Aggression," but I wanted to make sure the Yankee BOTL's understood.) :assaultri

During baseball season, I add MLB to my list. Been a huge Red Sox fan, since the days of Yaz and Pudge. Needless to say, I'm still freakin' out about the Red Sox World Series win, no... Series DOMINATION last year.

Lessee- cigars, books, Civil War, Red Sox. Yep... that's pretty much it.

Good lord, I sound like a geek. Well... I guess the shoe fits, and my wife would agree.

I am 50 years old and work as a Senior Analyst for a major credit card company. I have been married for 10 years to a great woman. I smoked my first cigar about 30 years when I was in Manila, P.I. I have really gotten back into enjoying them the last 2 years ago or so. I prefer a mild to medium stick with a larger ring size. Robustos are my size of choice. I like them to have great taste but more that that I like an easy draw. I have about 20 cigars in my humidor now (I seem to smoke them too fast to build up much of a collection). I like both natural and maduro wrapped sticks.
