My first car was a 1977 Datsun B210. It was a tank...drove it for 4 years w/o changing the oil...filters...no maintanence what-so-ever. Lost it cause I got REALLYstoned one night and forgot where I parked it.

After that I had a 1972 Honda 600 Coupe. It was one of those 2 cylinder Babe-magnets.

It had 10 inch tires...Smaller than a Mini Cooper.

Holy crap Rob, that thing is small.

My first car was a beater 71 Chevelle. Got it in 1998. Wasn't in great shape, but I restored the interior and it was extremely fast. Really enjoy those old muscle cars.

My first car was a 1972 Fleetwood Caddy. Everyone thought I was nuts, but it was a great car! Me and my buddies had a great time cruising around in there. It even had a bar in it! It was pretty cool. It worked off the engines vacuum to pull drinks through hoses in the trunk. Who's up for a screwdriver?

An unholy fusion of an '84 Firebird body and an '86 Camaro engine. I remember helping my father cut the engine mounts off of the frame and welding them back in a different position because the new one wouldn't fit.

Bought a 1971 Ford LTD with a 351 Cleveland engine just after my 16th birthday for $550. The ghetto cruiser could pull 120 MPH with 5 friends in it. I think I'm lucky I survived that summer.

Blew the engine the following spring (big shock) on a four lane divided highway. Went back with my Mom's car, a 1978 Buick Skyhawk, to try and get my car going. Parked behind the LTD with the flashers on and got under the hood of the LTD. Heard a screeching noise and looked up in time to see a drunk driver plow into Mom's Skyhawk and destroy it. So I put two cars out of commission in one day. Quite the effort, eh? LOL

Unless the firebird was a V-6 and you dropped in a V-8 you shouldn't have had to cut/weld anything. So i am gunna assume thats what happened.

'77 Thunderbird, 400 ci, 2v carb, handled like a stale marshmellow. Definitely built for the straight-away...with a downhill and/or rolling start. AKA "The love-boat" and "Thunder-chicken"

Ah...good times

'72 Ford Maverick...not just any Maverick but a Maverick Grabber ! It was Grabber Blue with the black striping and double scoops. Also had a 302 in it which I rebuilt in school, Cragers, traction bars, shift kit ahhhh did I think it was cool. I was able to outrun a few 'Stangs and Camaros though. But the drum brakes sure didn't work too well.
