Smoking some Nightcap in my Hackert at the drive ins. Seems like the thing to do since every one else here is smoking pipes, just not tobacco. Man this place stinks...

Some Peter Stokkebye Proper English for the inaugural smoke in the Peterson.

It was a good choice.

Successfully packed and kept lit a bowl of DE Heirloom Cherry

Sitting on the front porch with my wife on an amazingly beautiful evening.

She turned to me to ask what tobacco that was. Normally with a cigar, she just asks me to move further away.
Nice bro. Congrats! My wife prefers the smell of baccy to cigars as well.

cob full of LNF on the way out of work today:

(trying a first person shot, for all the pipe curious)

fifth bowl for the review, this time fold-n-stuff. for whatever reason, this cob, just this one, is trying to burn out on me. i just have it in mind to either wrestle it into submission of smoke it to extinction. good smoke, though. o)
I have the same cob and had a similar issue. The bottom would get really soft and I thought it was going to give out. Have you mudded it even with the shank yet?

see, i HAVE several other MM legends, zero issue. all of them have cylindrical bowls, poker-like shapes. this one, with the taper on the bowl, seems hell-bent on dying on me. FWIW, the country gentleman, among others, has a hardwood plug in the heel, rather than just cob: if you have an issue with the heel washing out, that might help. my issue, i usually smoke fairly dry, and few aros, so the heel isn't a problem, but the WALLS are trying to burn out. i think this one, now that i have put three bowls of PS LNF through it for this month, is going to get a couple weeks of CH in it, just for rehabilitation purposes. if that doesn't build a cake, it gets "retired".

Awwwww, come on bro. They need it for their glaucoma to be able to see the screen, right? Lol
Real question is, what movie were you going to see, Pink Floyd's The Wall?

Ah, that sucks bro. I have a 5th Ave with the plug but it has a funky bowl and rim coating I'm not super fond of. It's finally broken in making it moot now, but I preferred the legend taste wise. I was gifted the legend and it was my first pipe so I committed to trying to keep it alive as long as possible. Haven't had any issue since I mudded the bowl.

Spring strong sweet tall green grass grow...

Middle Earth Pipeweed Series - Longbottom Leaf, from justforhim.com, in the Sav 320 Alligator.
Unlit, the tobacco had a predominant Virginia note, but you could easily pick up an underlying vanilla element. Not a heavy aromatic, but noticeable.
Left this out overnight, felt good this morning, but still turned kind of goopy in the end. Was very "bitey" and left a tickle in the back of my throat. I'll give it another try tomorrow...

PS Luxury Bulls Eye Flake. I should have revisited this one a bit sooner than I did. Has a little bite when puffed too aggressively, but is easy to maintain a nice cool burn if I pace myself. Folded and stuffed and when the cavendish disc gets hit as the bowl smokes down the flavor change is really pleasant. This is going really well with my home roasted Indian pea berry coffee

Some PS Bulls Eye Flake in a poker. I left a few rings out overnight and it is smoking quite a bit spicier than last time I smoked it folding and stuffing right from the jar. Took practically no effort to light and is smoking very easy. The only issue I had was it was more of a crumble and stuff than a fold and stuff this morning, but still a win.
