generic-ass meer i picked up off the 'bay. i want (and have) a couple, to learn how they smoke, to learn how to clean them up. my understanding is most meer do NOT have a brand or maker. if it is a high grade, or solid carving on a design or figural, you get an artist's signature. and some companies stamp their stems, or mark their cases. barring that, who knows?
