Last night I went to the Erik Stokkebye event, met the man himself, and sampled:

1855 in the Boswell Lava Nosewarmer
1931 in the new Erik Stokkebye pipe
1882 in the Boswell Poker Nosewarmer

Sorry, no pics last night. I was trying my best to untether and just enjoy the moments as they happened.

How is Dan's Blend? What tobacco does it compare to?
It's a mild straightforward va with some sort of topping I think, but it burns really nice and forms a nice even cake

I think it's great for breakin in a new pipe, or if u want a really mild sweet va

I can't really think of anything that is similar because most mild vas I don't care for

On another note did you get a pm from me a few days ago?

Finishing up a bowl of McClellands Xmas Cheer 13, courtesy of dismal (many thanks again bro!). Smoking it in my churchwarden. All I can say is wow. Hard to describe how many great flavors this one gives you. Dark chocolate, black cherry, licorice, and leather. Simply mind blowing and a wonderful end to my evening.
