A couple days over the weekend with Goat Herder, a Tinder Box house blend from my BOTL Secret Santa, in the Sav 320 Vaniglia and the Papalia "Thing"

I just saw this...man I have major pipe envy! I love that 320

I need to get some stain and polish on that Vaniglia. It was an estate and the finish is really mottled/blotchy. One of these days with some free time (yeah right) she'll shine with a deep black piano gloss!

The kids are at their grandparents for the weekend, my wife is still in bed, so I am starting the morning right with a cup of coffee and a bowl of Sleepy Hollow by Strauss in the blue alligator

I'm 40 minutes into this and halfway through the bowl.

Absolutely loving this blend. It has remained lit for the most part very delicious and a wonderful morning smoke.

1855 in the Boswell Lava Nosewarmer
1931 in the new Erik Stokkebye pipe
1882 in the Boswell Poker Nosewarmer

It's a mild straightforward va with some sort of topping I think, but it burns really nice and forms a nice even cake

I think it's great for breakin in a new pipe, or if u want a really mild sweet va

I can't really think of anything that is similar because most mild vas I don't care for

Finishing up a bowl of McClellands Xmas Cheer 13, courtesy of dismal (many thanks again bro!). Smoking it in my churchwarden. All I can say is wow. Hard to describe how many great flavors this one gives you. Dark chocolate, black cherry, licorice, and leather. Simply mind blowing and a wonderful end to my evening.

In a few days, my sons will be in. We'll probably load a bowl of Carter Hall and pass it around. Then I'll retire it, at least for a while. Might get a small shadow box so I can display/show it off. Kinda stoked about it.
