I love metal and I thoroughly enjoy many covers but I have to go off the beaten path with one that stirs the soul because this girls voice is like nothing you've ever heard
And just in case you weren't convinced

Have you ever listened to Ella Fitzgerald? She's kinda responsible for popularizing this vocal style. You might dig it.

There are a ton. Today I kept listening to the Allman Brothers covering Van Morrison's "Into The Mystic" and The Allman Brothers w/ Susan Tedeschi doing Dylan's "Don't Think Twice."

As a young metalhead in the 80's, I loved Judas Priest's Green Manalishi. It had that hard angry riff that got me going, and Rob Halford's epic scream in the middle of it was the most metal lyric in all of metaldom. Years later, I found out it was a cover of a Fleetwood Mac song from before Stevie and Lindsey joined, and I was just floored. Still love it though.

Some of my favorite covers are by Aaron Lewis. Turn the Page and Black being my favorites. Also did a good job on sober.

i dont listen to a lot of covers... im mostly a hiphop head. however, i really like Dynamite Hack's cover of Eazy-E's Boyz N Tha Hood. the video is fantastic. i love the humvee golf carts!

I like a lot of the ones mentioned but the one that hasnt been mentioned is Five finger death punch's take on "House of the Rising Sun"

Not a lot of people like the remake of house of the rising sun. I have heard numerous people say that they ruined it. All they did was remake the song. Its not supposed to be the same. So therefore it is awesome.
Another FFDP cover worth mentioning is Bad Company. Much better than the original imho.

I like this version of House of The Rising Son. I think it is a pretty good twist on it.
