Nice to know I'm not the only one who doesn't go bonkers for anything with DFH on the label.
I like some DFH stuff, but not just because of the label. I like their IPA's and a few of their stouts and really enjoyed the Urkontinent.

Tonight's label ;)

I guess that was a little harsh, sorry. But,definitely wasn't thinking of you and anyone in particular. I was just trying to say I feel like one of the guys who doesn't love Opus, Liga, Padron or only CC's kind of thing(insert "you must drink the Kool-Aid"); that's all. Not trying to rain on anyone's enjoyment of what they like.

Moving on down to some Bell's Best Brown for now.

I didn't think you were Warren. But as a fan of 60-90-120 I hear it all the time. Truth be told DFH makes more beers I don't like than what I do like. To me their IPA's are a standard I measure most against. I have had some better and a LOT worse. It's kind of like we say here "smoke what you like".

BTW, I like Opus too ;)

On to #2....

John, did Cliff come by?

The first picture of the Sweet Tat beer looks oddly familiar to one of Cliffs beer picks with that tulip beer glass and marble counter top.

Local Bar here on campus had a Widmer Brother's brewing event this week and had a lot of great beers so I had:

Widmer Brothers Barrel Aged Brrrbon 9.40%
Widmer Brothers Brrr Seasonal Ale 7.20%
Widmer Brothers Drifter Pale Ale 5.70%
Widmer Brothers Drop Top Amber 5.00%
Widmer Brothers Hefeweizen 4.90%
Widmer Brothers Kill Devil Brown Ale 9.50%
Widmer Brothers Milk Stout 7.60%
Widmer Brothers Okto Festival Ale 5.30%
Widmer Brothers Raspberry Russian Imperial Stout 2012 9.30%

The Raspberry Russian Imperial was delicious! My favorite had to be the Kill Devil, had no idea it was that strong until I looked it up later. Very drinkable! The milk stout I liked more than Left Hand's non-nitro version.

I liked this one from the Barrel Aged Blackhole Series

2010 vintage... Slighly syrupy/candied.

Is good, but barrel aged stout is much better.

We just polished off a growler of Belgian Single from HooDoo Brewing here in Fairbanks, AK. It's the first time I've tried to pair a Belgian with poultry, and I must say that it works very well.
