G.l. Pease Key Largo. This was from a tin I bought a couple years ago, during my first aborted attempt to get into pipery. I jarred it up after smoking 3 bowls or so, because honestly, it tasted rather shitty.
Well, after two years in the cellar, I'm happy to report either my palate has improved, or the baccy has. Cigar leaf is still noticeable, but has mellowed enough to let the orientals shine some.

Spring strong sweet tall green grass grow...
oooooohhhhh, you got a series III poker? i kinda hate you for that, in the best possible way. o)
Yup! when pipeandleaf.com started up they had a huge stash of Series III. I found myself most drawn to the 3xx range and picked up the 310, 315 & 320. That's where I got the 320 for Hoshy as well. Just went back to buy another 310 for "a friend", but, no bueno. ;)

Had a bowl of Hearth & Home Marble Kake in the briar from Java. A nice mellow "pass the time" smoke while watching TV. I think I'm getting the hang of this slowly, packed pretty well and didn't require many relights.

BoTM again today. I need to plan ahead and try drying some overnight as I have had some gurgling. Not a huge issue, I just find that most baccy smokes better for me when it is more dry.

Smoked another bowl of prairie wind today thanks to java. I'm really digging the va/per blends. Haven't even tried an English yet.
I am just starting to get into va/per and straight va blends and I am loving them. Before that English blends were my thing and I still think I prefer them at the moment, all depends on the mood though. So many 'baccy blends and so little time...

Successfully packed and kept lit a bowl of DE Heirloom Cherry

Sitting on the front porch with my wife on an amazingly beautiful evening.

She turned to me to ask what tobacco that was. Normally with a cigar, she just asks me to move further away.

Success on two fronts, congrats!
Thanks. It really did feel like a major accomplishment.
