PS LTF in a Dunhill She'll Briar Zulu
BTW- didn't know this flake was an aro.... :squinteye
I've never seen that one listed as an aro. The discription from Pipesandcigars.com: LUXURY TWIST FLAKE (Luxury Blend) Tobacco selection: A pure Virginia blend from the best fields of Zimbabwe and southeastern United States. Tobacco cut: Rolled twist flake. The blend is hand rolled into spun cakes, thereafter Cavendish pressed and cut – one of a kind.

Don't trust Pipesandcigars. When they redid their website they screwed up alot of their blends. Tobacco reviews.com has it listed as an aro.

Well that would explain the caramel notes I get from it. Not nearly as strong as other aros I've had which is probably why I didn't think it was. Definitely more tobacco than casing flavors IMO. Looking closer pipesandcigars lists it as lightly aromatic. I guess the list of aros I enjoy is growing.

it's a hard line to tell, and everyone has their own read. the sutliff molto, definitely aro. escudo, definitely not. something like the stokkebye luxury line, or even OGS? i taste much more tobacco than flavor, almost never getting any "aro" note. but that's me.

don't worry, your dunny will bounce back. it's not like you burned M79 or a lakeland in it. o)

Finally had a full bowl of the L&P Twist. I'm glad I picked that style for my fishing pipe.

Now trying some Meat Pie in the mini cob.

Had some STG escudo Navy that had been sitting out the last couple days due to poor weather. Great flavor and didn't smoke nearly as hot and dry as I expected it to. Thanks again, Dave! That MAW killed it!

Yesterday some escudo navy in a cob.
This morning some Dunhill Early Morning also in a cob.

Been Digging the pipe as a morning smoke, like that I can set it down and come back later.

this weekend i shared some C&D engine 99 with some buddies (thanks to a pipe MaW), and also cracked my first tin of hamborger veermaster, in my zavvos. for escudo guys, you SHOULD try this stuff.

today, a happy accident:

loaded my original DrG with my mixture of McB mixture flake/ PS LNF, assuming it was a multipurpose briar. realized quickly it had been around a LOT of latakia. and, actually, the loamy and creamy quality from the english ghost really worked well with the tobacco. fun! o)
