I had some friends that went to China and they all came back with new suits. The tailor come right to their rooms to take measurments and comes back a day or two later with the suit, shirt and tie. Very inexpensive.
I've heard about this. Wish they did it with north face jackets since its part of my life uniform in the colder part of the yearI had some friends that went to China and they all came back with new suits. As Clint would say, "Fake."
Unfortunately after driving to Ningguo and back the day is cooked. Hanging at the Hyatt cigar lounge before flying back to Shenzhen tomorrow morning.Spent a lot of time in Hangzhou back in the day. Actually the Canadian ex-pat that worked for my company lived there. Very beautiful city. Visit the ancient Buddhist temple if you get some time. It is around 2000 years old and very interesting.
Won't lie, I miss them like crazy but I do take it all in. Now that I've been on the go for over a week I'm at the point where I just want to wrap up and get on a long plane ride home. All of the food looks amazing. I know it sucks being away from the family but I hope you realize how lucky you are to get to experience all of this. Take notes and when your kids are old enough bring them back!
Yep...know exactly what you mean.Won't lie, I miss them like crazy but I do take it all in. Now that I've been on the go for over a week I'm at the point where I just want to wrap up and get on a long plane ride home.
Thanks everyone for following along and keeping me sane. Can't wait for an English conversation where I don't have to speak without slang....right Rupe?
Haha I know what you mean. Anything even remotely out of context, slang, or figure of speech has no bearing.Yep...know exactly what you mean.
I also learned really quickly that even expressions like "cover all the bases" or "the whole 9 yards" have no context for people who don't play baseball or football. My slow broken English became very well developed at times. Thankfully I had a co-worker that was fluent in mandarin.
