More Larry's Blend as I scrub away while watching Netflix. Most of these cleaners were used on the Savinelli Stem on the far right. Whoever owned that pipe really liked it but I don't think they knew what a pipe cleaner is.

Had one a little while back I had to soak the stem in hot water and pour alcohol in the stem to even get a pipe cleaner to pass through.

It's a mild straightforward va with some sort of topping I think, but it burns really nice and forms a nice even cake

I think it's great for breakin in a new pipe, or if u want a really mild sweet va

I can't really think of anything that is similar because most mild vas I don't care for

On another note did you get a pm from me a few days ago?
If it's really mild, I'll pass on buying it...

That is disgusting. How can a guy let the stem/airway get that nasty? I run two cleaners after each bowl, and one more before I use the pipe again.

I do the same and can't imagine letting one get like that, I run a cleaner with alcohol every 4-5th bowl also
I got a pipe on FleaBay that I am in love with but it was the NASTIEST cleaning I've ever done. I think I went through four or five Oxyclean baths, a couple dozen nylon-bristled pipe cleaners...

I just bought to materials to make a pipe retort and I am not gonna smoke that pipe until I use it on that stem, just to be safe.

The hardest part of getting the supplies to make one is finding a rubber stopper with a hole large enough to accommodate the brass tube but still small enough to use on the small test tube. I have to drill mine out this afternoon

Did you purchase the components locally or online? If online, please post the site you used.

All on Amazon - I'll post the components shortly. If you have a science surplus store near you, I might go there first, but it's pretty cheap.

EDIT: In an attempt to avoid threadjacking (which I do way too often), I'll post the list under the "Latest pipe/pipe-related purchase thread"

well, I just happen to have enough materials to make three. So, if you and JustTrottin don't mind waiting a week or two fo rme to drill out the stoppers, I'll send one to the both of you
Thank you, Rob! I can definitely wait.

I'm still nursing the bowl of Three Nuns since it goes out quite a bit while I'm working. Here are the bowls, cleaned of salt and spit cleaned. The stems are fresh out of the Oxyclean bath. Check out the oxidation on the stem of the Savinelli.
